2008-09 GEMS Oversight Committee Application
Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS)
invites community members and employees to participate in its annual
review of Gwinnett's Academic Knowledge and Skills (AKS) curriculum.
The GEMS
Oversight Committee is a group of community and school system
representatives charged with the annual review of the Academic
Knowledge and Skills (AKS) curriculum.
Community members serve
four-year terms, and GCPS educators serve two-year terms.
After its annual curriculum review, the
committee recommends changes to CEO/Superintendent J. Alvin Wilbanks
for adoption by the Board of Education. If you are interested in
applying to become a committee member, please fill out and return the
application below to the Office of the Superintendent, Gwinnett County
Public Schools, 437 Old Peachtree Road NW, Suwanee, GA 30024-2978, by June 2, 2008.
